Porshe Brown is a very special student / athlete I have worked with who has the potential, aspirations and work ethic to become the first African American female swimmer to win a gold medal for the USA Swim Team at the 2012 Olympics. Please check out the video below to discover more about Porshe Brown.
ADHD Performance Clinic is helping to sponsor her until she raises her arms as an Olympian or college student-athlete. We are asking you to do the same: no donation is to small or too big.
With your help, she could very well become an Olympian, or at the very least get a scholarship to college because her academic and swimming efforts.
It has been a pleasure to work with her and watch her grow as a young lady, a student and a swimmer. Her infectious smile and winning attitude are contagious. She truly has what it takes to be a champion, and in fact already is one.
For those of you who know me, you'll appreciate I rarely do anything of this nature. But Porshe Brown is an awesome young lady and a honor roll student.
With Michael Phelps She currently swims with Michael Phelps swimming team NBAC, and that takes a lot of talent, old fashioned hard work and some really, really fast swimming times.
A Few Words from Porshe Brown
"With Your help, I believe I can become the first African-American, female, gold medalist in the Olympics!
In a society where achieving is truly
BELIEVING, success is built upon dreams and determination. Martin
Luther King, Jr. had a dream; Barack Obama had a dream; and Michael
Phelps had a dream.
Phelps wanted to win eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympics, and well, you know what happened … he did it!
Phelps began training at North Baltimore Aquatic Club (NBAC) at the age of 12 and immediately the coaches knew he was incredibly gifted. Actually, psychologists knew the same thing because Michael was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age.
Phelps’ success at NBAC and the Olympics is an example of what happens when an individual turns a “societal” deficit into a Benefit.
I too was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder in 2007; however, with counseling, support and the enrichment of Dr. Shane Perrault and “Play Attention,” I have remained an honor roll student and I continue to achieve at enormous heights.
NBAC Invitation Also, just like Michael Phelps, I was invited to swim with the best team in the nation: NBAC!
This is an amazing opportunity to practice with Olympians such as Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff. My mother has (and continues) to sacrifice an enormous amount, to ensure that I have an opportunity to fulfill my dream of becoming an Olympian. However, this dream does not come without a significant cost; which is more than my mother can currently afford.
Therefore, I am seeking sponsors to subsidize this expense.
ADHD Performance Clinic has made a generous donation and if you would like to sponsor me, you can submit all donations to Doctor Perrault. Checks can be made out to my mother: Visa Ferrell.
Less than one second away from an Olympic
Trials qualification, I believe I can become the first
African-American, female, gold medalist in the Olympics.
Thank you for helping make this dream a REALITY!
Sincerely,
Porshe Brown, age 14, 2012 Olympian.
